25 Oct Mums & Bubs Pilates Class with Physio Simone Richter
Our Mums and Bubs Pilates Classes are run by Physiotherapist Simone who has a special interest and passion in post-partum recovery.
Before starting our classes, you will do an initial assessment to check your abdominal separation post-birth and have a RTUS (Real Time Ultra Sound) scan to assess your ability to contract and hold your deep core muscle and pelvic floor. After this thorough assessment, Simone will develop a specific exercise program purely for you, which will be shown to you 1:1 and then performed each time you come to a Mums and Bubs Pilates Class, and progressed as able.
Programs are individually based to ensure optimal results to meet your specific goals and issues post-partum, but performed in a group setting for a mums group to socialise and bring your babies along to class.
If you prefer purely one on one sessions with your baby and Simone, this can also be organised. The classes combine pilates and general strength exercises to help you recover optimally post-partum. The exercises incorporate your babies for fun interaction and ideas of how to exercise at home safely with your baby. Assessments can be done anywhere from 8 weeks post-partum and babies can be on their own mat separately (not in contact with other babies etc.) if preferred. The class is very laid back and mums often stop and start to breast-feed if needed.
