We are very excited to welcome Rebekah Kenos Women’s Health Physiotherapist who will be joining our team at Thrive Health Co.
Having been a Physiotherapist for 17 years and for the past 11 of those has specialised in the area of Women’s Health and Pilates.
As a Women’s Health Physiotherapist Rebekah offers individual assessments in a private consultation room for all her clients.
Common conditions she will assess and treat:
– Pelvic Floor weakness
– Prolapse issues
– Pregnancy are pelvic girdle pain
– Carpal tunnel
– Low back pain and advice/education for good posture and movement in pregnancy.
– Post-natal common conditions: abdominal muscle separation, pelvic floor assessment/strengthening and return to safe exercise advice and prescription.
Rebekah believes returning to sport post-natally in a safe and supportive environment is important for women. Therefore she will be conducting Mums and Bubs classes which will begin in February at Thrive Health Co. These classes are for mothers with babies from approximately 6 weeks of age until they are crawling. It is a small group class that is performed in a relaxed environment that is individually tailored to those in attendance.
Rebekah performs pelvic floor internal examinations as required. She will assess and treat women with stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence and urgency. Rebekah can also assist women with prolapse and offer advice and management for this as well as Pre and post-gynaecological surgery.
